This site is designed to offer easy access to Lakes Environmental services and functions.  You can research projects, download forms you may need, alert us to situations that may require our attention and perform a number of other tasks.  Where Lakes Environmental and Queenstown Lakes District Council functions cross over, you will be linked to the relevant pages on the Council website. Our site has been designed to work for you by improving accessibility to our services.

We can help If you are planning a building, development, event or other project that requires some sort of consent, license or approval. We provide monitoring and inspection of all consents and licenses and we can also help if you want to discuss issues relating to noise, litter, wandering animals, food hygiene, freedom camping or any bylaw issues.  If you need a license for a food stall, want a buskers permit or a liquor license for a hotel, need a license for your restaurant, or if you need to register your dog or need a fire permit, our staff will help.
